Memorial and Life:A6

For by him we have life and move and exist.

Acts 17:28

You must not murder.

Deuteronomy 5:17

As we’ve been seeing, Jehovah as the Creator of life has certain rights. Does that make sense to you? I was thinking about this as I was designing today’s card and reflecting on how careful we need to be with regard to copyright. When using other people’s designs and templates, I need to be assiduous in determining if their Terms of Use allow for me to create a card or a digital kit that I can then give away free, just as I would like others to be assiduous in using my free offerings in accord with the included Terms of Use. So in the digital world we’re very familiar with copyright and intellectual property issues, and most people would agree that the designer has a say in how their design is to be utilized.

That’s a very minor example. Think of the incredible work that went into designing human beings! Jehovah God as Designer lovingly directs how his wonderful designs operate for maximum happiness. An obvious provision for protecting that happiness is the command not to take the life of another.

I also drew inspiration from the wonderful Becca Feeken who recently featured a card with stacked pennants on her blog, amazingpapergrace.

Becca asks that folk not copy her pictures, but here is the link.
