Memorial and Abundance of Peace

March 27, 2010

The Memorial campaign for 2010 is under way.

Jehovah’s Witnesses who live near you will be making a

very special effort to call on you to give you

your copy of the invitation above.

What question would you like answered from the Bible when they call?

Nisan 9 sees the beginning of the preparations Jesus made for the celebration of his last Passover with his apostles in 33 CE  in Jerusalem, during which he instituted the memorial of his death.

Nisan is the name of the Jewish sacred month that corresponds to our end of March/beginning of April.

What did Jesus do today, on Nisan 9?

See also Mark 11:1 – 11

“In his days, the righteous one will sprout,

and the abundance of peace until the moon is no more.”

Psalm 72: 7

A couple of years ago I designed a series of cards that I printed on pastel hammered card blanks with matching envelopes. The simple design printed very well and looked lovely as a set. More than two years later, I came across a sample of one of these cards and it still looked perfect with no fading.

This is the first of a series of cards with scriptures detailing some of the blessings that we will  see when God’s purpose for the earth is re-established. Jesus gave his perfect life as a Ransom to make this possible, so taking part in celebrating the Memorial of his death (March 30) is the most important thing you can do to show that you appreciate what he did and that you want to be included in the blessings that will result from God’s kingdom under Jesus as the Messianic King.

Try printing this series on good quality coloured cardstock or card blanks with matching envelopes as a gift set. The download includes an A6 card and a quarter Letter (4.25 x 5.5″) size. I have included the Text separately in case you want to colour it to match your cardstock, as I have done in the display example.
